On a remote beach along the Galician coast, two young pilgrims stumble upon a chilling scene: the lifeless body of a woman, washed ashore by the sea. Her earrings have been violently torn off, and all her belongings are missing.
Chief Inspector David, newly arrived from Valencia, takes on the case on his very first day. Hoping for a fresh start with his wife Paola and daughter Carmen, he instead finds a mystery as murky as the waters that brought in the corpse. At the Crime scene, he meets his new colleagues: Adrian, methodical and reserved, and Mercedes, intuitive and outspoken.
What appears to be a simple crime soon unravels into a web of secrets, silence, and betrayal. As tensions rise, David throws himself into the investigation, guided by instinct and unconventional methods not everyone is ready to accept. But the deeper they dig, the clearer it becomes: this murder is just the top of the iceberg.
